Zoo Time

Yesterday, Nick and I decided to pack up the kiddos and a picnic lunch and head to the zoo. It wasn't the hottest day so far, so the heat wasn't too bad. Because of our guest passes on our zoo pass, we got two military family members in for free. Good deed accomplished for the day. =) We decided to take advantage of some of the zoo encounters they have set up daily and weekly. They had an elephant presentation at 11:30 and we decided to check it out. We learned a little about the elephants and got to watch them do some tricks. It was pretty cool. After the elephants and walking around a bit, we sat down for our lunch. We checked out some more animals then we watched the American Alligators get fed. The girls, especially Sophie, thought it was awesome! I think next time we go we are going to check out the condor encounter. The condors were huge and the girls were intrigued by them.

I surveyed the girls to see what their favorites part of the zoo was yesterday.

Bella- Alligators and Elephants
Sophie- Alligators and Flamingos
Gabi- Elephants
Chloe- Okapis
