Nutshell

Well, it is has been almost 3 months since I've written anything in the blog...again sorry for those of you that we don't talk to that try to keep up to date with our adventure here. I can't believe that the last time I blogged was Thanksgiving and now it is almost Valentine's Day.

Our life in a nutshell...

December...Grandpa Gene, Aunt Jackie, and Lauren came to visit. We did a bunch of day trips and had a good time. Bella and Sophie flew back to Arizona for the second semester of school. They were sad to leave but ready to see their Arizona family. It took the four of us about a month to adjust to them not being here (and I think we are still adjusting). Nick was back in the states taking them back and got snowed in at Bob-O's house. (Thank you, Bob-O for letting him hang out with you!!!) He did make it back for Christmas. Christmas was quiet. We didn't do much. We spent Christmas night with some friends.

January...New Year's Eve was uneventful. We rang in the New Year with a couple of friends and Cranium. I'm not sure who won, but we will just say Amber and I did...;-) Nick went on a trip to Ankara at the end of the month. I started volunteering the last day I could in December and am now doing so Monday and Friday every week in the Pediatric clinic. The pediatrician is great and I am learning a lot about clinic nursing. I even have my own desk and also a computer to come. Sophie broke her arm on the trampoline but it was just a buckle fracture. She got a cool pink and purple cast for a couple of weeks.

February...Nick came back from his few day jaunt to Ankara. Sophie got her cast off. We won a car. (Yes you read that correctly...we won a car!! More on that to come...) We went on our first organized bus trip with the chapel. Valentine's Day is tomorrow...

That's it. (I think.) We have been busy, but looking at this, I'm not sure what we have been doing. :-)
