On Thursday, we got a puppy. We have been talking about getting a dog for months. There has always been a reason why we decided against it. The dogs that we saw/heard about/etc., were always too big, we didn't know where to put them, they shed too much, they were too small... Randomly I was talking to one of my clients one day who had just had a baby and she needed to get rid of her other baby. She was very sad to do so, but wanted her to go to a good home where there would be someone to play with her more and treat her the way she was treated before the baby was born. I asked questions, Nick and I talked, and 2 weeks later we were dog owners.
Kira is a shitzu/bichon mix. She is a small/medium dog and she will be 1 year in October. She is definitely a playful puppy. She is completely house and kennel trained and she is s hypo-allergenic breed so she doesn't shed. The girls are loving her and she is getting very used to them, too. She has been a great addition to our family.
