Finally Better...

We have had quite a time in the last 4 weeks. We have been sick and well and sick and well and...you get the picture. We have been fever, vomit, and cough free now for 3 days now. I am hoping that this time it sticks. We started as I previously posted with cough, cold, fevers in the twins. I have had cough, cold, fever twice in the past month. Nick just got over high fevers for 3 days and neck/back pain (which I'm pretty sure the rest of us had first...but he got it the worst.) Sophie was sick on the 4th of July, along with Gabi and Chloe. And finally Gabi has been sick with all of the above for mostly 4-6 days at a time. She and Chloe were the only one's to actually have vomiting. So...that is my excuse for not blogging in FOREVER!!

We planned a party on the 4th with some of our neighbors whom are also Nick's co-workers. I made the phone calls, we were doing the grilling, and we had all of our games and stuff to do ready to go. That afternoon, Gabi woke up throwing up in her bed during nap, Sophie started running a fever and had a tummy ache and sore throat, and Chloe was close behind with a fever. So...the party moved next door and Nick and Bella went and had a good time. It was nice, because they even brought my some food. :-) We put the twins to bed at normal time, and Sophie and I watched a movie and went outside to watch the fireworks from our neighbors driveway. (The rest of the party was in the field across the street so we tried to stay away and not infect anyone...) We felt bad for poor Sophie because they were supposed to have a slumber party next door that had been planned for awhile and she couldn't go and Bella did. We could tell she was sick when she wasn't too horribly hurt by it. Poor kid!! :-(

Work has been busy for both of us. Nick was gone for not quite a week before the 4th. I have been swamped and going in a little extra on my days off to try and get caught up. Nick is having a new commander coming in this week and a new guy that came in a few weeks ago and has had a lot of extras to do. He has also had many things going on at the other two bases in Turkey that he has been busy with.

The girls are all good. The twins are just growing, going to school, and being two. Bella and Sophie are good too. They have been VERY busy playing with the neighbors. (They are the kids of Nick's current commander and friends, Cris and Eric.) They are leaving in a couple of weeks for a new base, so the girls have really been maximizing their play time. They took swimming lessons and passed with flying colors. Sophie has gotten over her fear of water finally. They have been going to the pool with the neighbors a few times a week. They are having a great summer.

So glad to get an update. Kind of had a need to see everyone. Will be sending some stuff when I exchange an outfit for Sophie...I ended up with a six top and matching 4 bottom...not good. Loved the pictures. Amy hand the camera to Nick sometimes so you get in the pictures too. Love, Mom/B
